What is DAWN 2?

The DAWN 2 study aims to bring about new 360° knowledge and insights about the experiences and needs of people with diabetes and all of the different stakeholders with a role in supporting them.

Spanning over a 2 year period from 2011-2013, Novo Nordisk will undertake a unique global study and action programme to engage key stakeholders in jointly finding new sustainable ways to enable people with diabetes to live full, healthy lives and be actively involved in managing their own health.

DAWN 2 will survey people with diabetes, family and carers, healthcare professionals, patient associations, and policymakers and payers on their experiences and views on living with and caring for diabetes. In addition to these surveys, DAWN 2 will collect positive patient and HCP change behaviour narratives which will serve as inspiration to peers.

All DAWN 2 questionnaires are being designed to ensure that the study focuses primarily on the experiences and unmet needs of people with diabetes. Nevertheless, the design of the family member and healthcare professional questionnaires will reflect their unique focus and perspectives for change.
