International Media Roundtable:
’Children with diabetes need help to improve school standards’

Novo Nordisk invites journalists from around the world to the presentation of the results of the DAWN Youth Survey, the largest international study on the life of children and young people with diabetes.

This is a special event that will focus on the severe impact diabetes can have on children and their education.

The Media Roundtable will be held in connection with the 2008 European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Conference in Rome, Italy.

Programme for the media roundtable

  • Professor Thomas Danne will present the DAWN Youth results on school issues.
  • Children with diabetes & their parents will talk about the challenges and solutions they experience.
  • Representatives from the school system will share their knowledge on how to easily improve standards for the children.
  • European politicians will discuss how to improve the framework for the children’s daily lives.
